Michael Alexander "Mike" Pici
(August 18, 1958 - July 31, 1991)

Michael Alexander Pici, 32, of 1821 Mt. Vernon St., Waynesboro, and formerly of New York City, died Wednesday (July 31, 1991) at the University of Virginia Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born August 18, 1958, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., a son of Alexander and Faye McKee Pici of Waynesboro.

He was a 1976 graduate of Waynesboro High School and The Cooper Union in New York City where he was a free lance graphic artist.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Waynesboro.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Steven (Sandy) Hewitt of Roanoke; two brothers, Matthew D. Pici of Charlottesville and Vincent C. Pici of Columbus, Ohio; and two nieces.

The body has been cremated.

A Christian Wake and memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. William S. O'Brien at McDow Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

NOTE (2026-02-02): On July 31, 1991 at "12:30 a.m.," Mike passed away while an inpatient at the "University of Virginia Hospital, Jefferson Park Avenue, Charlottesville." Subsequently, "Dr. Elizabeth W. Dunmore, M.D.," cited Mike's immediate cause of death as "HIV infection."
